This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) describes how Marat Safutdinov (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores, and discloses information about users (hereinafter referred to as “you”, “your”) when using the Riyadh Metro mobile application (hereinafter referred to as the “App”).

We take your privacy seriously and are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with applicable laws.

1. Who Processes Your Personal Information

The collection and processing of your personal information for the functioning of the App and any associated websites is carried out by Marat Safutdinov.

2. What Personal Information We Collect and for What Purposes

When you use the App, we may collect the following types of information:

Device Information:
- Types of Data: Device model, operating system version, device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID, Firebase Installation ID), screen resolution, system language, hardware and software details.
- Purpose: To optimize the display and performance of the App across various devices and operating systems, analyze compatibility, and improve stability.
App Usage Information (Analytics):
- Types of Data: Screens visited, features used, session start and end times, session duration, interactions with interface elements (taps, scrolling), entry sources (if applicable).
- Purpose: To understand how users interact with the App, identify popular and unpopular features, locate user experience issues, enhance navigation and overall user experience, and for statistical analysis.
Crash and Performance Data (Crashlytics):
- Types of Data: Crash logs (stack trace), device and app state at the moment of crash (e.g., screen orientation, memory usage, disk space), App version, OS version, device model. Performance data (App launch time, network latency).
- Purpose: To diagnose and fix errors and crashes, improve the App’s stability and reliability, and monitor performance.
Approximate Location:
- Types of Data: Location data inferred from IP address or other network signals (not precise GPS location).
- Purpose: To analyze geographic distribution of users to understand regional popularity and potentially adapt content (if applicable); for aggregated analytics.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal information on the following legal bases:

Our Legitimate Interest: Processing is necessary to ensure the functionality, security, and improvement of the App, which is our legitimate interest. This includes the collection of analytics and crash data.
Your Consent: In some cases, such as when requesting access to certain device features, we may seek your explicit consent.

4. Data Collection by the App

4.1 Data Stored by the App

The Riyadh Metro App does not store any personal data on the user’s device.
The App operates in a way that it does not retain or locally store any personally identifiable information (PII). All analytics and diagnostic data are handled via secure, third-party services (see section 4.2) and are not persisted within the App itself.

4.2 How We Use Firebase

To collect and analyze the above-mentioned information, we use Firebase services provided by Google LLC:

Firebase Analytics: Helps us collect anonymized usage statistics for the App.
Firebase Crashlytics: Helps us track, prioritize, and fix stability issues in the App.

These services assist us in understanding how our App is used and improving it. Google processes this data on our behalf. Google’s privacy policy is available at: https://policies.google.com/privacy

We do not sell your personal information. We only share information with the following categories of recipients and only for the specified purposes:

Google (Firebase): As a provider of analytics and crash reporting services, acting on our behalf and under our instructions.
Government Authorities: When legally required to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

We do not share your personal data with other companies or organizations for their own marketing or other independent purposes.

6. Data Security

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Data transmitted to Firebase is encrypted in transit (using HTTPS). Access to analytics and crash data on our side is restricted.

7. Data Retention

We retain collected personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in Section 2 of this Policy or according to the retention settings in Firebase services (e.g., Firebase Analytics data is typically retained for several months). Aggregated and anonymized information may be retained longer for statistical purposes. You can manage some data collection settings through your device or Google account privacy settings.

8. Your Rights

In accordance with applicable data protection laws, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right of Access: Request information about the personal data we process.
Right to Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data (mostly not applicable to automatically collected analytics data).
Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): Request deletion of your data. Note that deleting analytics and crash data may be technically difficult or impossible for a specific user, but you can reset your advertising ID or manage Google privacy settings.
Right to Restriction: Request restriction of data processing.
Right to Object: Object to processing based on our legitimate interests.

9. International Data Transfers

Your personal data may be processed on Google (Firebase) servers located outside your country of residence. Google provides adequate safeguards for such transfers in accordance with its privacy policy.

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by publishing an updated version within the App or through other appropriate means (e.g., notice on the App website, if available). We recommend reviewing this Policy periodically.
